Faders for audio & lighting control surfaces.

Cooka makes manual and motorized slide potentiometers (faders) for mixing consoles, lighting desks and other control surfaces. The SVR01 covers manual control in 45, 60 and 100 mm travel; the MSV02 and MSV05 add motor-actuated movement in 60 and 100 mm travel for recallable, automated positions.

What the sensor has to handle

Operator control

Travel length, lever height, operating feel and the panel opening decide how the fader feels under the operator’s hand. Define them before choosing the electrical options.

Electrical response

Resistance, taper, track configuration (single or duplex) and noise affect how a fader position translates into level or intensity. Match them to the console circuitry.

Motor integration

For motorized faders, review the connector, touch-sensing arrangement, motor supply and driver together. The element’s input-voltage rating is not a motor supply rating.

How to choose

  1. Decide manual or motorized: choose a motorized fader only when positions must be recalled or moved by the system.
  2. Fix the travel length (45, 60 or 100 mm) from the panel layout and the resolution the operator needs.
  3. Choose resistance and taper to match the console circuit; specify single or duplex tracks.
  4. For motorized faders, confirm lever style, connector, touch sensing and the motor driver.
  5. Check life and linearity against the expected duty, then request samples for evaluation.

Audio & Lighting FAQ

Which Cooka faders are used in audio and lighting consoles?

The SVR01 manual slide potentiometer and the MSV02 and MSV05 motorized faders are Cooka’s starting points for audio and lighting control surfaces.

What is the difference between the MSV02 and MSV05 motor faders?

Both offer 60 or 100 mm travel and 5 or 10 kΩ resistance. The MSV05 has a 2 million-cycle no-load life and ±2% maximum linearity, with T, TL and TA levers and FFC or PH connectors; the MSV02 has a 1 million-cycle life and ±2.5% maximum linearity.

What travel lengths are available?

The SVR01 is offered in 45, 60 and 100 mm travel; the MSV02 and MSV05 in 60 and 100 mm.

What is the MOQ for Cooka sensors?

The minimum order quantity starts at 10 pieces for standard configurations; custom configurations are quoted per project.

What is the lead time?

Lead time is 3–7 days for in-stock configurations.

Are free samples available?

Yes. Cooka provides free samples for qualified projects.
